11/26/2018: NOAD Schema 3.6 and Nat’l Vessel Movement Center Workbook 7.6 released

The National Vessel Movement Center recently announced release of updated Notices of Arrival and Departure schema version 3.6, as part of efforts to enhance maritime domain awareness and improve handling of essential data contained within NOAD.


8/14/2018: Notice of Arrival and Departure (NOAD) Schema 3.6 90-day notice

An updated Notice of Arrival and Departure schema, versioned 3.6, will be released November 13, 2018, and will contain various schema improvements, updates to ports list and retirement of the National Vessel Movement Center workbook as a means of submission for Outer Continental Shelf Notices of Arrival.


6/13/2018: Updated Notice of Arrival/Departure workbooks released

Notices of Arrival/Departure Workbook Version 7.5.1 and Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Notice of Arrival Workbook 1.5.1 are now available on NVMC’s. These updated versions provide corrections for the display of ports when the country of Georgia is selected. The official XLS workbooks are provided as a non XML venue for submissions of Notices of Arrival/Departure to the National Vessel Movement Center.


3/23/2018: Reminder – NOAD Schema 3.4 to be retired

The current NOAD Schema 3.5 has been in effect since May 26, 2015. NOAD Schema 3.4 is missing required information fields and will no longer be supported. Any submitted NOAD form utilizing Schema 3.4 after the retirement date (to be determined) will be rejected.

1/18/2017: A note on eNOAD emails to the National Vessel Movement Center

The Coast Guard National Vessel Movement Center (NVMC) posted a notice stating that eNOAD submitters should immediately discontinue the use of rich-text (RTF) and HTML formats for eNOAD submissions via email. Continued use of these email formats may cause serious delays. It is imperative that all eNOAD submissions sent to the NVMC parser (enoad@nvmc.uscg.gov) arrive in plain-text email format.

9/14/2015: NOAD Submission method update – 15 day notice

In 15 days, the National Vessel Movement Center will change the method of how notice of arrival and departure submissions will be accepted.


8/31/2015: Acceptable Notice of Arrival and Departure formats – 30 day notice

The National Vessel Movement Center will no longer accept NOAD submissions that contain the NOAD information as text within the body of emails or attachments of scanned documents after September 30, 2015.


7/30/2015: NOAD Submission method update– 60 day notice

In 60 days, the National Vessel Movement Center will change the method of how notice of arrival and departure submissions will be accepted.
