Committee members discussed topics such as unmanned aerial vehicles and cyber security, the port security grant program, and CBP’s Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, a voluntary program through which CBP works with the trade community to strengthen international supply chains and improve U.S. border security.

The Coast Guard is seeking applicants for 16 positions on the National Maritime Security Advisory Committee. Completed applications should reach the Coast Guard on or before May 3, 2018.


3/26/2018: National Maritime Security Advisory Committee holds Spring meeting, welcomes five new members

Committee members met and discussed items such the Coast Guard’s regulatory reform tasking, the Extremely Hazardous Cargo Strategy, and cyber security. Additionally, the Committee welcomed five new members.


2/27/2018: National Maritime Security Advisory Committee meeting scheduled

The National Maritime Security Advisory Committee will meet in Oakland, California, March 20-21, 2018, to review and discuss various issues relating to national maritime security. All meetings will be open to the public.


11/27/2017: National Maritime Security Advisory Committee teleconference

The Committee will meet Thursday, December 14, 2017 to review and discuss the results of the “Navigation and Vessel Inspection Circular 05-17; Guidelines for Addressing Cyber Risks at Maritime Transportation Security Act Regulated Facilities” task.
