2/4/2019: Transportation of hazardous material by ferries

Hazardous Materials Regulations govern ferry vessels that transport hazardous materials. The most important question ferry owners/operators should ask is, who is a HAZMAT employee, and thus requires HAZMAT training? The Coast Guard recently consulted with the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration to ensure alignment regarding training for mariners working on ferry vessels that transport HAZMAT.

03/04/2015: Guidance for regulated facilities for review, approval of mobile vapor control systems

The Coast Guard issued a policy document providing new, interim guidance to Coast Guard Captains of the Ports to assist in the assessment of equivalency requests from regulated facilities to use mobile or portable vapor control systems, or VCSs, in lieu of fixed VCSs.
